Was tasked with heading city operations for Mumbai, that had been underperforming for long. I was able to build a strong team, set efficient processes, and achieve the revenue targets for the entire year. Over the course of the year we were able to improve on metrics like Average Booking value, Lifetime Value, Tenure, and Renewal % significantly.
My Post-MBA goal is to work in Operations for a few years in a company like Amazon that has become a household name across the globe and learn what it takes to keep the whole machinery ticking. In the long term, I want to take up a COO role where I can drive a business by building efficient scalable processes.

Hi Edtech applicant, this is is Deepak Punwani from MBA Exchange. Congrats on the move to the US. Like the edtech background and the fact that you are setting up operations in a very competitive market. This is quite interesting experience and am sure differentiates you in a very competitive pool. Edtech is the flavor of the year in India given the Covid related lockdown and everyone from Unacademy to Vedantu to Byjus to Cuemath is hoping to catch onto the wave. So you could be at right place at right time. Your academic profile is also solid though would be interested to see the split of your GMAT. Would like to see a little more re how your extra curricular activities have aided your …

So you could be at right place at right time. Your academic profile is also solid though would be interested to see the split of your GMAT. Would like to see a little more re how your extra curricular activities have aided your development and also get better insight into the “why” of your short and long term goals. But all in all, you have some good credentials which can help get that admit. Also like your choice of schools – strong in general management for consumer facing tech roles. Good luck
Hi Mr. Ed. Tech Startup, this is Donna Bauman with Stratus Admissions Counseling weighing in on your profile. I’m impressed with your big win in improving city operations in Mumbai and this will be a great background to work in operations for a company like Amazon. Booth has the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation and your ed-tech background could be valuable there. I like your chances at Booth. I think your odds at INSEAD could be good too. With that GMAT just shy of many of these schools averages and then coming in from an over-represented pool you face a hurdle here in differentiating yourself enough to stand out. Go deep in knowing why you want each program—and if you have some spare time …

Go deep in knowing why you want each program—and if you have some spare time and can squeeze 20 or so more points out of the GMAT I think your odds on all these programs really jump up. I’d have to know more but if the EdTech has a strong social impact and you explain it in the right way—that’s how you can unlock the doors at a Kellogg or a Haas or Ross. Good luck and reach out if you want to talk further.
