Mr. Education Expert

About Me:

Hi All! Thanks to this community for being a helpful resource. I was hoping I might get a few opinions on a profile review and whether I should re-take the GMAT.

Target Schools (All Part-Time Programs):

Undergraduate GPA from Boston College: 3.79 (Political Science Major, Econ Minor)

Masters GPA from John’s Hopkins: 3.66 (Education)

Professional Experience:

Teach for America (Math Teacher)

Governors Office as Policy Advisor on Education

Big 4 Human Capital Senior Consultant

Why for MBA: Reason 1) Enjoy consulting, but don’t have a business background. Would like to learn more business theory. Reason 2) Structured development as a manager specifically. Moving into M level role within my organization and would like to learn best practices as a leader. Reason 3) Long-term goal is either partner track in education consulting or return to education world with leadership expertise.

GMAT: 650 (39 Quant, 40 Verbal).

On all the Princeton practice tests I scored ~660, but did much stronger in Quant (42-45) and lower in verbal.

Question: What are my chances to get into these programs? Is it worth retaking the GMAT, or should I begin to focus on other aspects of my application?
