Hi Mr. Filipino Startup, You have a lot going for you! This is Debbie Choy from mbaMission and GSB alum. It looks like you’re very active starting companies, learning at internships, and very engaged as a student leader at college. These are all achievements that the Admissions Committee likes to see. As you pull your deferred apps together, be sure to describe what motivates you to be passionate about all these things you do, and how an MBA will fit into the picture. To improve your chances at a deferred program, do consider retaking the GMAT. While your GPA is above the GSB average, your GMAT score is a shade below the average. Even a 10- or 20-point bump could make your application more competitive. Or if you find yourself hitting a ceiling with the GMAT, look into the GRE. The study material is similar, but some applicants find the GRE test format more suited to their test-taking style. My estimate of your odds is based on applying now with a 710. But if you improve your test score, your chances will increase. If you would like to discuss your profile in more detail, feel free to schedule a 1:1 consultation with us. Wishing you the best in your MBA journey!
