Hi, Mr. Fresh Perspective, this is Julie-Anne Heafey from mbaMission. You have done a lot in a short period of time, and, as your name suggests, you bring a variety of perspectives to the table. Harvard, however, is likely to be a long shot. A 3.0, even in a tough and quantitative major, is likely to give them pause, as will the lower than average GRE. On top of these hurdles, your goals are a little puzzling. MBB will look for high scores/academic stats so the undergrad grade and GRE may hold you back, plus I’m trying to understand where the consumer insights angle matches your background. I might be missing crucial information here, but this seems like a stretch …

Can you improve your test score? IESE might work, as might Cornell, with a refined goals story and higher score. Best of luck!
Mr. Fresh Perspective. Thanks for posting your profile. Susan Cera here from Stratus.
Based on what you have shared in your profile, you definitely have a variety of perspectives to share. Your vision, however, is unclear and it feels like you are putting anything and everything out there to see what ‘sticks.’ You need to get crisp with your story. Why do you want an MBA? What do you bring to a program based on your experience to date? How will an MBA allow you to build on your skills and set you up for success? Where does the interest in outer space mining and space tourism come from? Why do you care about children having access to education.
Your profile leaves a lot of unanswered questions. …
Your profile leaves a lot of unanswered questions. This, combined with your below average stats, makes HBS a reach. Cornell feels more achievable but you need to align your interests and goals with their resources.
Wishing you the best on your application journey.
