Today my goal in life is to progress my career to new heights by building diamond-clad relationships. Coming from South Africa and to the UK after my dad got assaulted. Living with Dyslexia, ADHD, and mild Autism. Now I am stronger and more focused. I genuinely want to bring curiosity into the minds of the next generation. Enable more UK businesses to reach their Diversity and Inclusion goals. By mentoring, coaching, and building minorities to become ironclad candidates.

My greatest achievement was my time at Refinitiv, I grew a lot there. Managing the Cyber Security Data and Analytics team, we became known as the wizards in the business. Starting from a greenfield, I optioned out all three clouds, using Azure’s warehousing, AWS’s Redshift, and GCP Big tables. However, I searched within our organization and found others that were trying to do the same thing but for a different set of data. With this knowledge, I was able to join these teams together and get Snowflake Enterprise Edition and Matillion to become our enterprise go-to for Data warehousing and ETL. While I got my team to build out Snowflake as a Single Source of truth, I start collaborating with the other teams to use Snowflake as their main database. Further using the data marts and Power BI, we could publish data for anyone in the business to build their own reports against what they were authorized to access. This system I built was moved from inception for being for Cyber Security but was used by any department. I pushed by showcasing the system to all departments and I was then able to get more data and build dashboards for Finance, and GRC. The CEO caught wind of this and I transitioned to helping with the process improvement of the entire business using the data at hand and showing progress. This helped in securing the $27B buyout by LSEG.
Sustainability and diversity in UK companies.
My life’s goal is to become a CEO of an LSEG 100 company. While I rise to the top, I hope to take others with me to push the next generation and provide many in the industry with a role model they aspire to become.
