Hi Mr. Procurement Consultant, Julie-Anne Heafey here with mbaMission. I always perk up when I see Tuck as the target program, as I went to Dartmouth for undergrad and have worked with a lot of Tuckies in the past–it’s a great school! I also think it’s a good fit program for your goal of business strategy/consulting. I also love your music activities and leadership, outdoor enthusiasm, and can picture you contributing to the Tuck “fabric” in a positive way. So, why the lower chances? Your category is highly competitive, and even though your GMAT is good, I would be more comfortable if it were higher, 20-40 points above the average score. Your GPA is low, but I assume you converted that from a relatively strong (?) Indian GPA, correct? I also am not as confident about the pipeline of candidates from your undergrad at Tuck, it is a name I hear less than others. Tuck’s a small program – which is why many want to go there, but it also makes entry very competitive. Finally, if possible, I’d emphasize your global perspective/experiences you hint at in the above. Have you done any work in other countries, for example? I’d highlight that. Best of luck, hoping you can execute well in the application and boost your odds!
