Hello, My goal is to obtain an MBA with a specialty in finance or health care admin. I am at the beginning of my ascent in management at the hospital and the thought is that an MBA would build a base of knowledge that will be implemented while furthering my career. This has become my top priority and planning has consumed my free time already.

My focus and drive towards my goals was demonstrated 2 years ago as I qualified for USA Triathlons Team USA.
I would love to have a strong understanding of business and finance. My goal is to oversee a medical private practice or become an assisted living administrator. I think on a personal level it would allow me to demonstrate the importance of education to my children as well as providing confidence in my abilities to reach my goals.

Hi Mr. Radiologic Technologist, Julie-Anne Heafey from mbaMission here. I love your reasoning for the MBA and your goals make sense to me… these will go a long way to impressing the admissions committee. My main question is– I wonder about only applying to Kelley — are you tied to the area because of family reasons or a part time enrollment plan? I can think of other programs that might be a stronger fit for a healthcare management goal (to name a few – Vanderbilt, UNC and Emory). Best of luck to you!
Hi Mr. Radiologic Technologist, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. Based on what you have included here, it is unclear if you are interested in a full time or part time MBA program. Your years of experience put you on the upper edge of experience in a full time program. You will want to be clear about why now is the right time for an MBA. If you are interested in part-time, you are right in the sweet spot for years of experience. Your GPA and GRE score is in line with Kelley’s full time program, which puts you in a good position if that is the route you are looking. You will want to be clear about why now is the right time for an MBA. If you are interested in part-time, you are right in the sweet spot for years of experience. For either program, you will want to be more clear on when you would like to achieve your goals – are you looking to pivot after your MBA or continue to work within the hospital first. You’ve done a solid job of identifying what you need from an MBA. I admire your desire to show your children that education is important – this is a goal of mine as well. I think your chances are on par with their average. You could look into Notre Dame as well. Good luck!
