Hi Mr. Veteran to Startup, this is Donna Bauman with Stratus Admissions Counseling and I am glad to weigh in on your profile. Thank you for your military service—and it is impressive the accomplishments you had in the military. Hi Mr. Veteran to Startup, this is Donna Bauman with Stratus Admissions Counseling and I am glad to weigh in on your profile. Thank you for your military service—and it is impressive the accomplishments you had in the military. It is impressive that you already have transitioned to a startup in a financial ops role and I think an MBA can help you make your career transition to early stage investing. West Point is obviously a very respected program—having the 3.06 is not quite up to the CBS gpa average but they may overlook this on the basis of your other strengths—I do think it is worth applying and that you could look into excelling in some quant courses in some additional college courses or perhaps your quant part of your GRE is strong enough to show CBS you can handle the quant rigor of the program. I’m not sure from your story if you are deciding whether to accept McCombs or Johnson or decline to apply in the future to CBS—that’s a call only you can make but if you have a spot in either McCombs or Johnson I’d say that you should seriously consider both offers before declining and putting your hat in the ring yet again—unless you really just love applying to MBA programs! If you apply too many more times you might also be qualified to become an admissions expert! Good luck making your decision!
