Ms. Eyebrows Say It All

About Me:

I am a quick learner, flexible, and dedicated to further growing our ecosystem. I enjoy cartoons & good food as a means of relaxation after a hard day of work. I am dedicated when it comes to working and always ready to rescue friends if they need my support. I appreciate small gestures & reciprocate such benevolence. When I think of social impact, I try 4 practical implications.

I would like to know which management school I have the best chance of getting into and if there are options for fully or partially funded programs that may consider my profile. Furthermore, is it better to do a Ph.D. in management? But then will I get through anywhere with my profile? Additionally, should I write the GRE again? I wrote it in a hurry to complete my application with a deadline for a college I tried to apply to back in January 2020.

Undergrad School: Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad

Undergrad Major: BA in Social Sciences (Economics, Psychology & International Relations)

GPA: 8.2/10

GRE: 299

Age: 25,  Ethnicity: Asian or Indian

Other Degree/Certification: MA in Social Entrepreneurship (Gold medalist)

School Name: School of Management & Labour Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai

Extracurriculars: I am keen towards research and have written two dissertations for both my degrees and another research paper with one of my profs and presented the same at two international conferences at XLRI (Jamshedpur) and EDII, Gujarat. Was also co-head of the e-cell, Marketing & Design head for iPreneur (national social entrepreneurship fest) & international conferences arranged by our centre. Apart from that, currently I work as an advisor to two organizations, a start-up working in waste management & another NGO working in MP. Was part of the college basketball, volleyball and throwball team. Enjoy travelling, exploring cuisines and culture.

Work History:

Title: District Lead (Panna, MP) - Tata Trusts

Industry: Government / Military

Company: I was an advisor to the (DM) IAS officer regarding dept. of women & child development. I was also appointed the nodal officer for another initiative of the DM named Project Sanjeevani which was a social entrepreneurial project to tackle malnutrition in the district. We received appreciation from the ministry for the work.

Length of Employment: 1 yr

Big Life Wins:

– Kept a decent academic profile (10 CGPA – X, 95.4% – XII science, 8.2 GPA BA (Top 5), 8.3 GPA – MA (Gold medalist, Other Awards – Best research, best fieldwork, student of the year)
– DM’s recommendation letter for work in Panna – Planning & Implementation of Project Sanjeevani – around 8000/16000 acute-malnourished kids transitioned to normalcy.

Post MBA Goal:

I am more of a jack-of-all-trades and queen of none, as it may have been seen that most of my education has been interdisciplinary. I want a global career and learn more bout the management industry. I believe, the MBA is closest to what I want to work on (consulting & prjt mgt) & can narrow it down. In future, I may even take on the academic sphere.
