I’m an Engineer-turned-Marketer who gets her kicks from helping brands grow with ‘targeted messaging’. Having built a brand managerial & marketing experience of 2.5 years across startups and E-commerce, I believe that an MBA at this stage will help me to accelerate my performance. Looking at the bigger picture, I intend to help and grow with people to create an impact that really stands invincible. Additionally, I also have an NGO experience (educational mode) for about 2 years. Here, I volunteered to teach and raise funds for the underprivileged children in India. This concentration has really helped me strengthen my EQ and appreciate the power of education. I have also trained and engaged with Autistic Children as part of ‘Rare Disease Day’ during my undergrad. We created an offline platform wherein children with hereditary disorders and their parents meet with genetic counselors for medical consulting. In my career, I was the youngest player in the team of Flipkart Private Labels; Assisted in-app campaigns, launch for over 500 products in less than a year, Strategized and executed the marketing plan for the HRX Audio Launch In Flipkart (Licensee brand).

I always have thought that my biggest win is on its way and it’s yet to hit me. However, I have been successful in building a startup at 22 along with the team of founders and cofounders in 2018 – 2019. I have helped bridge the gap between the 60+ Indian weavers and cooperate societies with large brands like Reliance, Lifestyle, Nordstorm, Timberland, and more. The primary theme was to reduce the carbon footprint in the fashion industry and integrate more local artisans and producers in the supply chain. Hands on heart, I would count this as one of my most fulfilling experiences.
I want grow to become a leader who can empathize largely with not only my team but also the consumers, and take a big share of accountability in all the moves the company makes. I aspire to integrate sustainability in all parts of my life, personally and professionally. I’m pursuing to learn psychology & philosophy parallelly to help myself understand humans better. This could be a game-changer!

Wow. You have accomplished so much is so little time. I can scarcely believe that you are only 23! Where did you find the time to rack up all these amazing accomplishment? I hope your parents are bursting with pride over who you are and who you will become. You write with clarity and ease, yet another achievement. You, no doubt, know your GMAT score of 680 is low for Kellogg and so is your age and work experience. By all means, give it a shot. But I’m not too optomistic that now is the best time for you to apply. My advice is simple: Get more work experience under your belt and retake the GMAT aiming for a 700-plus score. As much as I …

As much as I hate to say it, Indian engineers in the applicant pool (even though you have escaped that route and transitioned into marketing) are expected to have higher GMAT scores, mainly because so many do. I think both a higher GMAT and more work experience are necessary for you to gain an admit from Kellogg which I also think would be a great ‘fit’ for you and your background. And so, by the way, would Michigan Ross.
