Hi Ms Retail to Technology, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. Go Bears! Sounds like you’ve had some interesting experience in inventory planning at a larger retailer and now customer service in tech. Your business degree and strong GPA are evidence that you can handle the academic rigor of a program – and as student body president! It sounds like you’ve had a nice career trajectory and the fact that you are managing a team puts you ahead of many with your years of experience. I see biz ops and strategy as a logical transition for you and would encourage you to think a bit deeper about where you want to be long term. What is your long term aspiration? What impact do you want to make in technology? This is important to think about to bring out your strongest story. I would also encourage you to consider re-taking the GMAT – or even look at the GRE. While you’ve got the business undergrad, you are currently 50 points below the average, which is a lot of overcome. Kellogg is a school that is going to want to see your collaborative leadership – so make sure you build that into your stories. My rating is based on your current GMAT, but it would go up with an increase. And I never like to see a one school strategy – there are some other great schools that can help you enter into tech biz or strategy – I would consider adding Ross, Duke, Tepper and Foster to you list. Wish you the best of luck – reach out if I can answer any questions!
