  • 25-year-old white femaleSandy’s Analysis: I am not sure how HBS counts ‘client services’ gig for kids who work at ad agencies, e.g. is there a more prestigious title for newbies and the fact you stayed there for 3 years (if I am reading this right) is also suspicious, sort of like firm was happy to milk you at client barn rather than bring you home, train, and advance.Sorry if I am totally misreading this, just guessing, I don’t know industry that well, but I do know what a silver and not a gold job is like in investment banking, law firms, and consulting, and was just wondering if this was the case.Your essay as described has hints of being banal and cheer-leaderish vs. impressive capture of influences and how that leads to specific goals, but one needs to see it for real. Low quant and ‘low’ 700 might have been one of those, ‘yup, it all makes sense,’ facts about silver not gold.Don’t mean to be harsh, correct anything that is wrong, above is a valuable analysis of an HBS ding for our readers, even if I am misreading the facts in your case.From the point of view of admissions, you are kid at ad agency. Your essay needs to be read to see if it was helpful or harmful.
