Your 770 GMAT score, however, would (and WILL!!!) open doors at Wharton, Sloan, Booth and Columbia in most cases. So apply there, if you have not already. Your 770 has more magic at Wharton and Sloan than HBS, so good luck.Your essay was probably not an issue, but saying you want to be in data analytics operations for a sports team, particularly if you had no background in that) was not a plus, IMHO. Way to play that is to say “I want to lead a consulting firm that focuses on analytics.”More to the point, both for YOU and OTHER POSTERS, what is the track record of kids from your firm applying to HBS and other schools???
