OMBA Ranking 2023: Which Online MBA Programs Had The Most Women In 2022?

GENDER PAY GAP

Online programs continue to gain steam. In the U.S, more MBA students are now studying in online programs than in the more traditional full-time MBA programs on-campus. The value and flexibility of the OMBA is drawing more women than ever to the degree.

However, women continue to lag in another important parity metric: Pay. Men with a business degree still earn more than women with the same credentials. According to a report by the Center on Education and the Workforce, women with business degrees earned a median $75,600 a year compared to $90,000 for men.

“It’s daunting if you’re a woman to get an MBA and it’s frustrating when you get it and you make less than an equally qualified man,” Martin Van Der Werf, director of editorial and education policy at Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce, says. “That can dissuade people from pursuing these degrees.”
