Candidate:

Mr. Public Service

About Me:

I am passionate about changing the rules of our economy and society to make them work better for all. I believe that in order to be an effective public servant, one must have the strong leadership and change-making skills that an MBA can provide. I also believe that good policymakers should understand business in order to effectively work with them. Both HBS and GSB are 2+2 deferred admissions. I’m a current senior in college.

Big Life Wins:

At the CFPB, had the opportunity to meet with businesses we regulated to discuss their business models, their consumer experience, and ways they can improve. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to see how businesses and govt cooperate effectively to make change together. I also created research on the payday loan industry that’s still in use.

Post MBA Goal:

I hope to use the skills of business school in public service by either running for office or serving in an appointed office, but straight after I’d like to be working for a business-focused committee, council, or agency. This being said, I also want to open myself up to how businesses can make a change in the world, and consider private sector work.
