I thoroughly enjoyed working with Susan throughout my MBA application process and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgable, strategic, and honest advisor.
What I appreciated most about Susan was her strong, informed point of view. She wasn’t afraid to give candid feedback and challenge my thinking. Her advice was always grounded in a deep understanding of the MBA admissions process, but she also took the time to really understand me, my experiences, and what I wanted to communicate. She helped me think strategically about my applications while making sure my story remained authentic.
Beyond her expertise, Susan is genuinely kind and invested in the people she works with. She struck a rare balance between being direct and supportive, which made her an invaluable sounding board throughout a stressful and often ambiguous process. I couldn’t be more grateful to have had her guidance, I ended up getting into one of my top schools. My applications would have undoubtably been far less successful without her.
One of the most valuable things Susan did for me was convince me that Columbia was within reach when I didn’t believe it myself. I was focused on my stats and what I thought my limitations were, but she helped me understand that admissions committees are evaluating the whole person, not just numbers.
Susan helped me uncover and shape my story in a way that felt authentic to who I am. More importantly, she pushed me to back that story up with concrete examples and helped me gain the confidence to communicate it effectively during my interviews. As I get ready to start at Columbia, I’m beyond thankful for her guidance and support throughout the process. She had a meaningful impact on my MBA journey, and I would highly recommend her to anyone applying to business school.
Cat helped me get into both Wharton and MIT Sloan, something I genuinely didn’t think I had a shot at when I started the process. She kept me organized and accountable from start to finish, setting clear deadlines for essays, strengthening my resume, and preparing me for interviews. More importantly, Cat was always available to jump on a call, talk through a question, or provide encouragement when I needed it. She helped me tell my story in a way that felt authentic and compelling. I truly don’t think I would have gotten into either school without her guidance and support. I can’t recommend Cat enough.
Title: Major player in my HBS journey
HBS was my dream school, and Julie-Anne played a major role in getting me here. I worked with her on my Round 2 application, coming from a finance background (banking, then investing), and I’m now in my first year at HBS.
She helped me soul search to get my essays where they needed to be. My early drafts listed deals and promotions – she kept pushing on the why and how behind them, which is what made my essays sound like me instead of every other finance applicant. She also helped me reframe my resume around accomplishments instead of responsibilities, and she knew the school inside and out, flagging things about the process I never would have known on my own.
Interview prep was a standout. We did several mock interviews, and after each one she sent detailed written feedback – cut the jargon, structure your answers, and always land on a takeaway and your own point of view. By the real interview I felt completely ready. And for the post-interview reflection, we talked right after my interview and she turned my draft around within hours.
On top of all that, she was super responsive through the deadline crunch (even over the holidays), honest when a draft wasn’t working, and patient with me when I got off to a slow start. If you’re applying to M7 programs, I can’t recommend Julie-Anne enough!
Harold was an excellent partner throughout my MBA application process. I worked with him on applications to MIT LGO, Tuck, and Harvard, ultimately earning admission to MIT LGO and Tuck and an interview with Harvard. I ultimately chose MIT LGO, which was my top choice before waiting on the Harvard acceptance.
What stood out most was how personally invested Harold was in my success. Even when he was busy, he made time for me, including setting aside time to meet with me in person twice when I happened to be in the Boston area. Those conversations were some of the most valuable parts of the process and reinforced that he genuinely cared about getting to know me and helping me put my best application forward.
Harold brought strong school-specific insight, thoughtful feedback, and a perspective that helped me tell my story authentically. I’m very grateful for his guidance and would absolutely recommend him to anyone navigating the MBA application process.
I worked with Harold Simansky throughout my MBA application process, and I ended up at the M7 school of my choice. The single most valuable thing he did was help me zoom out. I came in buried in the details of individual essays and resume bullets, and Harold pushed me to step back and understand the bigger picture of my narrative: who I was, why business school, etc. Once that clicked, the rest of the process got much easier.
He was also just there. Whenever I had a question, big or small, he answered it, and he had a way of calming my general nervousness during a stretch when I was second-guessing everything. At the same time, he keeps you honest. He didn’t tell me what I wanted to hear; he told me when something wasn’t working, which is exactly what you need from a consultant.
Harold is great at what he does, and I would highly recommend him to anyone going through the MBA process.
I was uncertain about my MBA application prospects when I started working with Harold. He quickly helped me see past my perceived weaknesses and identify the compelling story within my background. Rather than trying to hide gaps, he showed me how to reframe them as genuine strengths.
What stood out most was Harold’s ability to get to the heart of who I am and what I could contribute to a business school. He pushed my essays to be more authentic and strategic with each revision, and his guidance on positioning my profile was invaluable. He’s responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in your success.
If you’re serious about strengthening your MBA application, Harold is exactly who you need in your corner.
Nisha was an incredible resource throughout my MBA application process. Coming from a nontraditional background in classical music, I initially wasn’t sure which schools would be the best fit for my goals. Nisha’s deep knowledge of the MBA landscape helped me identify the right programs to target and understand how to position my unique experiences effectively. She was also instrumental in preparing me for interviews, providing thoughtful feedback and helping me communicate my story with confidence. Beyond her expertise, Nisha was extremely kind, responsive, and easy to reach whenever I had questions. With her guidance, I was admitted to Columbia, Chicago Booth, and Darden, and I’m incredibly grateful for her support throughout the process. I would highly recommend Nisha to anyone navigating the MBA application process, especially candidates with nontraditional backgrounds.
Working with Harold was an absolute game-changer for my MBA journey. Early in the process, I was concerned about my low GRE score, but Harold strategically advised me to target top programs like Tuck and Darden and pursue GRE waivers. Thanks to his guidance, I successfully secured GRE waivers for both Tuck and Darden.
Harold was instrumental in helping me navigate the application process as a military applicant. He worked closely with me to translate my military experience and jargon into clear, compelling business logic that resonated with admissions committees. Beyond our direct work, listening to his podcast provided invaluable insights during my essay drafting phase.
After completing an in-person interview at Tuck and a virtual interview with Darden, I was accepted to both schools with full-ride scholarships! Harold’s strategic vision and tailored support directly enabled me to earn admission and full funding at a top-10 business school. I couldn’t have asked for a better consultant and recommend him without hesitation.
When I first decided to pursue an MBA, I knew I had some significant weaknesses in my application. I had struggled with the GMAT, had gaps in my work experience, and came from a professional background that was not particularly analytical or quantitative. I knew I needed someone who could help me not only navigate the application process, but also figure out how to present my background in the strongest possible way. Working with Harold ended up being one of the best decisions I made during my MBA journey.
From the beginning, Harold helped me recognize that my background had a compelling story to tell. We spent time brainstorming my personal and professional experiences and identifying the themes that could differentiate my application. He also recommended that I switch from the GMAT to the GRE based on my learning style, connected me with tutors to help me prepare, and suggested additional courses and resources that helped strengthen the quantitative side of my profile. What I appreciated most was how involved and accessible Harold was throughout the entire process. Whether we were working on essays, refining my overall application strategy, or preparing for interviews, he was always available with thoughtful feedback and guidance. He helped me turn what I initially saw as weaknesses into a coherent and authentic story.
The results exceeded my expectations: I was accepted to every MBA program I applied to and received scholarship offers as well. Looking back, I genuinely don’t think I could have achieved those results without Harold’s guidance and support. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an MBA consultant who will take the time to understand your individual story and help you put your strongest application forward.
This was honestly the best decision I could have made. I give him so much credit for helping me get into my two top choices, and not only did I get in, but I received $40K from one and $50K from the other.
He did an incredible job identifying my strengths and helping me build my story in ways I never could have done on my own. He helped me make sure my story actually made sense, and we spent a lot of time working through my goals until they felt clear and genuine. He also kept me motivated throughout the entire process. I was extremely busy with work, but he made sure I kept moving forward, and the deadlines we set together were incredibly helpful. He completely transformed my resume, which was obviously a huge help. But probably the most valuable part of the process was figuring out what to write about in each essay and then going through revision after revision until we were both satisfied. The final essays were much more concise while still being powerful and, most importantly, they actually sounded like me.
He was also incredibly responsive—literally all the time. No matter when I had a question or needed feedback, he was there. I learned a lot throughout this entire process, not just about MBA applications, but about how to tell my own story and communicate my goals. Of course, the best part is that I got into my top school with scholarship money. I can’t thank him enough. He truly cared about the outcome and I always felt like he was doing everything he could to help me succeed.
I would highly recommend him to anyone applying to business school. I genuinely don’t think I could have done this without him.
Harold worked with me step-by-step to understand my story and help me craft a compelling application. I appreciated his candid feedback and nudges, and I was able to get a significant scholarship with his help. Thank you, Harold, for help shaping the direction of my career with this scholarship and school opportunity.
I had a great experience working with Harold and would absolutely recommend him to anyone applying to MBA programs. With his help, I was ultimately admitted to an M7 MBA program.
One of the most valuable parts of working with Harold was having him as a thought partner throughout the application process. MBA applications can be overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to bring together different parts of your background into one clear and compelling story. Harold was very helpful in pushing me to think more deeply about my experiences, identifying the strongest themes, and helping me bring everything together into a cohesive narrative.
His feedback was thoughtful, specific, and always delivered in a very timely manner. I also appreciated that he felt personally invested in my applications and was consistently available as a sounding board when I was working through difficult decisions or unsure about how to approach something.
Overall, having Harold in my corner made the application process much more manageable and gave me confidence that I was putting forward the strongest version of my story. I’m very grateful for his support and would highly recommend working with him.
I’m so grateful I made the decision to work with Jen on my MBA applications. As a non-traditional candidate with a background in tech sales, Jen helped me understand the value of my experience and, more importantly, gave me thoughtful guidance on how to communicate that value to the schools I was applying to.
Jen worked closely with me throughout the entire process, including developing my overall professional and personal story, essay and application feedback, and interview prep. She helped me identify the common thread across my varied experiences and recognize accomplishments I had often overlooked. As someone who had struggled with imposter syndrome throughout much of my career, I came out of the application process with significantly more confidence in myself and my professional story. In the end, I achieved my goal of being accepted to one of my top-choice MBA programs in the UK with scholarship.
I honestly don’t think I could have achieved this opportunity without Jen and would absolutely recommend her, especially to applicants with non-traditional backgrounds or those struggling to understand how their experiences fit into a compelling MBA story.
Working with Kate was the single best decision I made through the MBA process. As a busy professional, it was incredibly helpful to have Kate’s support in keeping organized, meeting deadlines, and improving the quality of my applications. I believe whole-heartedly that I would not have achieved my dream of going to HBS without her support. If you’re thinking of working with her – DO IT!!
I came to Jen at mbaMission on a 2 school package – some of the best money I’ve spent. My only regret is not engaging with her sooner, her advice and guidance never missed.
I am a non-traditional reapplicant, with 14 years of work experience compared to the typical 6 – coming from the UK public sector and a side of military.
She is the consultant I needed (and no doubt will be able to help you too) – able to give frank direct advice on the shape of my essays (I had ideas which were frankly not good); able to shape my plan and goals, keeping them grounded in realism, and excellent interview prep – her suggestions and work on points came up in the real thing.
Going into the process, I was doubtful I would be able to even get an interview, having already been rejected by Cambridge the previous year, with her substantial skills we were able to tease out my best story and resulted in offers from INSEAD, Oxford and Cambridge, with at the time of writing over $100K of scholarship money.
Getting a consultant is much more than having someone proof read your essays – her insight and experience literally opened my brain to what was possible – you want an advocate like her.
I would have never thought to ask the scholarship committee at Oxford for scholarship money (after application) leveraging success at other schools – I did on her advice – and it resulted in an even bigger scholarship.
Jen is a delight to work with skilled and experienced in gently, but firmly, guiding you on the best path, bringing out the best features of your application. She makes you want to do better.
It is entirely down to her that I walked away with three offers, where at the beginning of Jan 2026 I had one rejection (CJBS) and host of poor GMAT/GRE results.
Highly recommend.
Harold is an extraordinary person to work with! He is diligent, understanding and introspective. I still think back to our discussions while working together and how helpful he was in helping me not only within the bounds of my applications but also forcing me to ask deeper questions about myself and my experiences, which really benefited me in countless ways.
With Harold’s help I was able to get admitted to multiple top schools with scholarship money! Harold is truly an exceptional consultant who goes far beyond simply helping you put together a strong application.
Harold was exceptional! Thoughtful, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. He worked quickly to help me turn around some last minute applications and I was accepted in UVA, USC, and Georgetown! Attended Darden (UVA) and am forever grateful!
Working with Kate was an absolute pleasure!!!
She truly is one of the best in the industry. She is incredibly thoughtful and methodical in tying together different pieces of my life into a compelling story. She asked insightful questions about my projects and experiences to gain a deeper understanding of my work and impact.
Additionally, she is very articulate when it comes to writing and storytelling. She made sure my essays were succinct while still reflecting the depth and breadth of my experiences, and most importantly, that they stayed true to how I would actually sound.
Ultimately, what sets Kate apart is her empathy!! She genuinely cares about her clients, goes above and beyond, and is truly invested in their success beyond just the numbers.
I wouldn’t have gotten into a Top 10 school with a scholarship if it weren’t for her. Thank you so much, Kate, for being there every step of the way.
I CANNOT RECOMMEND KATE ENOUGH.
I came to Harold a very raw applicant with a significantly below average GPA and he helped me perfect my applications and story. He truly dove into my life and helped me overcome a substantial barrier and get into CBS. I have since referred several friends to him who have had similar success. Could not recommend him more.
I spoke to some other consultants and they were poking holes in my story and focused on my weakness. Susan did the opposite. She was a warm, encouraging and supportive person during this process and used positive psychology. Hiring Susan as my coach was the best decision I made during this process. She helped me get crystal clear on my story, goals and really found a way to highlight my experience and craft a beautiful narrative, something I will continue to read and reread as I navigate this next chapter. She also recommended a tutor that really helped get my EA scores up. She is a wealth of knowledge and you can tell Susan has done this many times over and been successful at her job. I’m now going to my dream school and program because of her, something I thought was a reach for a long time.
I first met Jessica on a 30 minute call to assess my application to b-school. I had been waffling for the whole year on whether I should apply to school and there were only ~8 weeks until round 2 deadlines. Working together wasn’t on the table as all of her slots for that cycle were filled. Though she had little to gain from our call, I found her to be forthcoming, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. When one of her applicants decided to defer and a spot opened up, I jumped at the chance to work with her.
Though I had an extremely tight schedule and a mountain of work to do, Jessica was never daunted. She was truthful about how much work I had to do, but encouraging and confident that I could do it. Her experience and advice saved me countless hours of effort(e.g. should I take the GMAT or GRE? now that I have my GRE score, is it good enough or should I retake it or work on my essays more? Who should my recommenders be?). She helped me focus my efforts on the parts of my application that needed it the most. Throughout the flurry of essay edits, Jessica was extremely responsive (more than she needed to be) and I found her suggestions for me to be thoughtful and grounded in her years of experience of working with applicants. In fact, one of my recommenders mentioned that he strongly considered working with Jessica on his own applications (and one his close friends from b-school had and loved working with her). Truly, no question of mine was too big or too small for her and she treated them all with a distinct level of care.
Jessica helped me approach a very unstructured challenge (that I wasn’t very prepared for) with a modicum of efficiency and confidence. Without her, I don’t think I’d be gearing up to head to Columbia for business school this year. I am walking away from the experience of working with her more confident in myself and my own story and journey. I’d recommend Jessica to everyone and anyone.
I met Harold at a point where I was genuinely confused about my MBA strategy: which schools, why, what for. I signed up for an hourly session, and what stood out immediately was how practical and effective he is: in that one sitting, spent largely on my resume, he did more for it than weeks of my own edits, because he could spot instantly where a line lost its voice. That same instinct carries into his “MBA voice” coaching; it’s easy to underrate, but it’s what gave me a full year to actually think through strategy: not school selection as a category exercise, but tied to the career and industry I actually want. Practical guidance, specific feedback, and genuinely aligned to what would move my profile forward. Grateful for it.
I applied to MBA programs for three years before working with Harold Simansky and got nowhere. Harold told me in our first conversation that we could do this. I was skeptical. He was right: I was admitted to Wharton, Columbia, and NYU Stern.
Harold is genuinely and personally invested in your case case. He didn’t hand me the generic PDFs that most MBA consultants circulate. He took the time to explain how each school differs and made sure every essay was built for the specific program it was going to. He was extremely responsive, his turnaround on drafts was fast, and he used our time well. When the admits came in, he celebrated with me. I have recommended him to everyone who has told me they are thinking about an MBA, and I will keep doing so.
I reached out to Harold during a turning point in my life. Harold proved that my choice to apply for Top programs with his guidance made all the difference. I still remember the nights when I doubted myself, but I could see it in his eyes and through the conversations we had that he really believed in my potential to reach where I want to go. I ended up admitted to Duke Fuqua with prestigious merit fellowship & scholarship to fund my studies in the states. I would not be where I am now without Harold’s help and encouragement along the way.
I feel incredibly lucky to have found Harold as my admissions coach. I worked with him primarily during the interview stage for MBA applications, and I always felt supported by his quick responses, personalized guidance, and willingness to make time for me. I saw him not just as an admissions consultant, but as a mentor who was genuinely invested in my success. Even months after my interview, he still sends me articles related to my industry of interest. I was fortunate to receive offers from two incredible schools, and seeing the kind of person Harold is as an MIT Sloan alum played no small part in my decision to join the MIT Sloan community. Thank you so much again, Harold!
I cannot recommend Susan highly enough. She was my admissions consultant for both HBS and Stanford GSB, and I genuinely do not think I would have applied successfully to either school or gotten my applications in on time without her help.
I came to Susan very late in the R1 cycle. I received my GRE score literally about one week before the HBS application deadline, and at that point, I was seriously doubting whether I should even attempt the application. I had a call with Susan when she had only seen some of my answers to the background and goals questionnaire she sends to prospective clients. Despite having very little information about me at that stage, she immediately reassured and encouraged me to go for it. She told me to attempt the HBS essays and get her my drafts over the weekend.
When I received her reviewed drafts and feedback, I was genuinely astonished. The level of detail, thoughtfulness, and specificity in her feedback was simply incredible. And that was not a one-off experience. It was exactly what I experienced throughout the two weeks we worked together on my HBS and GSB applications. She was incredibly thorough, insightful, and efficient, and somehow managed to help me put together strong applications under an extremely tight timeline.
Susan also helped me with an HBS mock interview, and honestly, that one-hour call was all I needed. Her advice was direct and incredibly helpful. Beyond the formal application work, she was always open to sharing advice, ideas, and suggestions based on her own experience and perspective, which added so much value throughout the process.
You genuinely cannot go wrong with Susan. I am incredibly grateful for all of her help and would recommend her without hesitation.
I approached the idea of an MBA consultant with some skepticism, but working with Gavriella turned out to be one of the best investments I made in this entire process. I was admitted to every school I applied to including three M7, and a lot of that comes down to how precisely she understood what each school was actually looking for. She provides a valuable perspective on your story and how you can best integrate different aspects of your own experience into a compelling narrative that may be hard to see yourself. Furthermore, she is critical in refining your essays to best appeal to individual school ethos. Her approach also creates a framework you can utilize across your applications which saved me an enormous amount of time and gave the whole process a coherence it wouldn’t otherwise have had. Her experience and guidance on how to plan deadlines as you navigate multiple applications is extremely helpful as well.
Equally impressive is her support and responsiveness. Throughout the process, Gavriella provided timely responses to any question or email I sent her way. Her editing process is just as efficient and was critical in helping me reach tight word limits without degrading quality. As you go through applications, it is incredibly valuable to have a sounding board you can reason through your own doubts or questions with, and Gavriella was excellent at this. She offers candid, objective, feedback and guidance that helped guide my thought process. More broadly she provided a personable, reassuring, and grounding presence throughout a stressful process that I really enjoyed working with.
I reached out to mbaMission after being waitlisted Round 2 at Wharton, and they promptly put me in touch with Cat Ho, a Wharton alumna. She advised me on my waitlist strategy and update letter. Without her guidance, I do not think I would have been accepted. Here’s what made the difference: • Candid feedback: Cat immediately identified the gaps in the application I submitted and conveyed exactly what signal to send the adcom. Cat guided my narrative so that every detail came together in a way that would be most compelling for the adcom to read. • Strategic insight: In addition to helping with the waitlist update letter, Cat provided advice on the actions I should take to stay engaged in Wharton’s process and the respective timing for each. • Professionalism: Cat was direct but encouraging, was always prepared, and exercised exceptional judgment in determining which ideas to push me to write about and which ideas to avoid.
I submitted my update letter about 3 weeks after being waitlisted, in early May. In July, I was admitted off the waitlist to Wharton’s Class of 2028. In hindsight, I wish I had worked with Cat on my application itself, rather than wait until getting waitlisted. In any case, credit for my outcome is due to Cat and mbaMission.
I worked with Harold on my applications to Harvard Business School, Wharton, and MIT Sloan. Separately, I completed my applications to Chicago Booth and Kellogg without consulting support. I did not receive an interview from any of the three schools where Harold advised me, while I was admitted to both Booth and Kellogg with more than $100,000 in scholarship funding.
Admissions outcomes are inherently unpredictable, and I do not believe it would be fair to evaluate a consultant solely on results. That said, when I compared the five applications, I felt that some of the strategic guidance I received made it harder for me to present the most distinctive and authentic version of my candidacy.
I entered the process with what I believed was a competitive academic and professional profile: a GRE score in the high 330s, a GPA of approximately 3.95 that placed me at top of my class, and a record as a top performer at an MBB firm. Before joining MBB, I had also accumulated several meaningful leadership and extracurricular experiences. These included coaching my national team in an academic Olympiad and leading it to its highest-ever international finish, as well as achieving significant success at the global level in that Olympiad myself. I had also worked with startups and spent substantial time mentoring and coaching others. I had also been a founding member of a local NGO that supported food, clothing, and shelter for more than 5,000 people.
One of Harold’s recommendations was not to discuss my pre-MBB experiences at length because they would be more than three years old by the time I matriculated. His take was that admissions applications should always be forward looking and put great emphasis on recent work and future ambitions. Following that advice, the three applications we developed together focused primarily on my performance and progression at my MBB firm. Although that was an important part of my profile, I ultimately felt that this approach made my candidacy appear more conventional and did not fully capture the experiences that most clearly differentiated me.
There were several other recommendations that I followed in the applications we completed together but chose not to follow when preparing my Booth and Kellogg applications independently. The latter two applications felt more personal, distinctive, and representative of my full story. Given my academic credentials, extracurricular record, and performance at MBB, I was particularly surprised not to receive an interview from Wharton. Of course, it is impossible to know precisely why one application succeeds and another does not, but the contrast in both the application strategies and the eventual outcomes influenced my assessment of the engagement.
On a personal level, however, Harold was consistently approachable, responsive, and flexible. He worked around the unpredictability of my consulting schedule and was accommodating when my working hours changed. He also continued to check in after I received my results, including my Booth and Kellogg admissions, even though he had not advised me on those applications. After my Wharton rejection, he went above and beyond by arranging a complimentary ding analysis with another mbaMission consultant. I genuinely appreciated the care, professionalism, and personal support he showed throughout the process and afterward.
Overall, my experience was mixed. Harold was accessible, supportive, and personally invested in my outcome, and I remain grateful for the ways in which he went beyond the formal scope of the engagement. However, I believe that some of the positioning and application strategy advice I received ultimately weakened, rather than strengthened, the presentation of my candidacy. For that reason, I would rate the experience three stars.
I cannot recommend Susan highly enough. She was in my corner every step of the way and consistently went above and beyond what I expected from an admissions consultant.
She helped me with everything from identifying schools and exploring potential career paths at the beginning of the process to navigating final decisions and, once I was admitted, getting into the right mindset to actually begin business school.
Susan helped me take a lot of scattered thoughts about my experiences, goals, and motivations and turn them into a cohesive story that made sense not only to admissions committees, but also to me. The brainstorming process she led me through forced me to think more deeply about what I actually wanted from business school and my career, and I came out of the application process with more clarity and direction than I expected. That made not only writing my essays much easier, but even completing the career-related pre-work for my full time MBA program.
Susan also helped me navigate waitlists, difficult admissions decisions, and scholarship negotiations, continuing to strategize with me even when things didn’t initially go the way we had hoped. Ultimately, I was admitted to three of the four T15 programs I applied to and will be attending with a significant scholarship, and I KNOW that would not have been the outcome without her guidance.
Susan is also a rare combination of direct and comforting. I always trusted her to be completely honest with me and tell me what I needed to hear, but whenever I came to her convinced that something was a problem, she somehow had a solution and a path forward. She was equal parts advisor, coach, cheerleader, and, occasionally, big sister/mom, all while being an incredibly sharp businesswoman who knows this process inside and out.
I am incredibly grateful for Susan’s guidance, patience, and belief in me and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone applying to business school.
Katy was a huge help preparing me for both the group and one-on-one components of my Wharton interview. In the week leading up to the interview, we did two calls — one two days before and one the day before — and both times she generously went over the scheduled time to make sure I felt ready. We worked through mock interviews and frameworks for structuring my answers, and she gave direct, specific feedback on the parts of my responses that needed sharpening. That prep made a real difference in how confident and prepared I felt walking into both interviews. I’m grateful for her support and the time she put in, especially in that final stretch.
I came from a background where almost nobody has an MBA, so my biggest uncertainty factor during my MBA discovery process was finding those “unknown unknowns” as quickly as possible.
For that reason, I decided to reach out to Heidi at mbaMission. Immediately from our first engagement, she recognised my strengths and my potential gaps where I can really stand out amongst all the other candidates in consideration. Most importantly, she proactively probed me in the right places to help me really discover my true passion and game plan – two critical elements that justified my pursuit of an MBA to achieve my career goals.
Heidi felt like a business partner who is there to help me succeed. She is highly responsive, enthusiastic, and very honest with her feedback which I really appreciated.
With Heidi’s valuable support, I secured an offer from London Business School, as well as a merit-based scholarship that turns out to be critical in funding this next chapter.
I would thoroughly recommend Heidi to anyone ambitious who considers MBA as their next big step to turbocharge their career.
Jen helped me to articulate what I need as an entrepreneur in the fashion industry and narrow down the best schools that would support my goals. The whole process was clear and efficient, from school research, student & admission calls, resume structure, essay, recommendation suggestions, to interview practices, Jen have every resources to help me go through one by one.
I think what really shifted after consulting with Jen is the way I view the whole process: it is something that can be planned and prepped for, for any schools you want to apply to. If I wanted to get into a more competitive school, then it means I needed to allocate more time and resources to make a better application.
Jen also guided me to create an efficient timeline and sort priorities. So we made sure that the application for each schools were well lined up and well adjusted with my work/travel. She was also very strategic in lining up the more priority schools for first rounds, then back-ups.
In the end, I got accepted into a top MBA for fashion in Europe. I wouldn’t be able to put my best application without Jen!
I couldn’t have gotten in without Michael’s help. He was the best across so many facets of the application process. He helped me extract my strengths to weave a strong foundation, while identifying areas to improve as I went along. He gave pointed, constructive feedback that was actionable, and with a perspective I couldn’t have had without someone with his experience. From my resume to my essays, he helped create a story I was confident in, and helped me earn admission to the only school I applied to (NYU Stern). Any time I sent him something to review, I was confident he’d return it quickly and with specific things to action that would strengthen both the individual part and overall application package. He also genuinely cared in my success and made me feel confident. Couldn’t recommend enough!
Harold is incredibly detailed, proactive, and patient throughout the entire admissions process. He pays close attention to every aspect of an application and is always willing to go the extra mile to improve it. He worked closely with my recommender to ensure my recommendation letters complemented the rest of my application and reinforced my overall narrative. He also meticulously reviewed every application component to catch even the smallest spelling or grammatical mistakes before submission.
One example that really stood out was when I became concerned that my essays might sound too AI-generated after running them through an online AI detector. Even though it was probably more of my own concern than a real issue, Harold never dismissed my worries. Instead, he patiently worked through multiple rounds of revisions with me until the essays sounded more natural, authentic, and true to my voice. Beyond the essays, he also provided thoughtful recommendations on how to round out my overall application strategy, from positioning my experiences to highlighting the right extracurriculars and achievements. His responsiveness, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to helping his clients succeed made a huge difference.
mbaMission was essential to my MBA application process. Most importantly, my consultant, Kimberly Hoey, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and guided me smoothly through the entire process from beginning to end for my applications to both CBS and NYU. Her knowledge of the schools, their application processes, and how to best stand out to them gave me the best possible chance of success with my applications. She was also extremely friendly and organized in her communication, and was always available to hop on a video call to discuss any questions I had and help guide my application development. It was a real pleasure to work with Kimberly. Given that I was admitted to NYU, I would highly recommend Kimberly and mbaMission! Thanks to their excellent guidance and knowledge, I was able to achieve my goal of attending one of the best MBA programs in the country!
Melissa’s biggest strength is her ability to set a very high standard while giving honest, actionable feedback. From the very first round of essay drafts, she pushed me much harder than I expected—not by rewriting my story, but by asking the right questions and challenging me to think much more deeply and introspectively about my experiences and goals. That process ultimately made my applications significantly stronger.
She also has extensive experience working with MBA applicants across top programs, so her guidance was grounded in a clear understanding of what admissions committees are looking for. I always appreciated that she was candid and never overpromised outcomes.
On the logistical side, she was consistently responsive, timely, and easy to reach by email, which made the process much less stressful.
One thing that stood out to me was how supportive she was when I decided to postpone my applications by a year. She was thoughtful and understanding about my decision, helped me think through how to best use the extra time, and continued to check in over the following year without any pressure. It genuinely felt like she cared about helping me succeed on my own timeline.
I worked with Susan on my interview prep for deferred enrollment programs, and she was excellent throughout the entire process. She helped me develop my personal narrative, prepare for behavioral questions, and strengthen my rationale for the programs I interviewed for. I believe that her insights were the difference maker in my acceptance to one of my dream schools. Outside our interview, Susan provided constant guidance over email that was both candid and supportive. This service certainly comes at a premium, but the return on investment is substantial! I couldn’t recommend her more highly.
I did five GMAT attempts and never hit the score I was aiming for, so when I started working with Jen I had pretty much written off my chances at Oxford, Cambridge, and LBS. Jen made it clear from the start that the GMAT is only one part of the application and she pushed me to reflect on who I am and what my strengths are. The early calls were spent figuring that out: my background, my strengths, what I genuinely connected with at each school. She was good at pulling that out of me even when I could not articulate it myself. From there we worked through the essays and resume together, iterating a lot and ensuring that each of the applications was tailored to each school. We had an interview prep call before each one with a full mock and a rundown of what to expect. The aim was to make sure I was representing myself in each interview and staying natural. Ultimately, I got into all three schools with a scholarship at one, and I would never have done it without Jen’s help and dedication to her clients. I can’t recommend Jen enough, especially if you’re targeting UK schools.
While I did not formally work with Jessica during my MBA application process, she had a meaningful impact on my journey nonetheless.
What stood out most was her generosity with her time and expertise. Despite not being a paying client, she was always willing to help – whether through a quick call, prompt responses to my emails, or thoughtful guidance at critical decision points. Her insights were consistently valuable and demonstrated a deep understanding of top business schools and the nuances of finding the right fit for each applicant.
I would wholeheartedly recommend working with Jessica. Her genuine willingness to help, combined with her knowledge, honesty, and mentorship, makes her far more than just an admissions consultant, she becomes a trusted partner throughout the MBA application process. Anyone would be fortunate to have her support and guidance on their journey.
I worked with Cat Ho at mbaMission as my consultant for Wharton/Lauder, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I was admitted to Wharton/Lauder, my top choice, with a significant scholarship as both a Lauder Fellow and a Wharton Fellow.
Choosing Cat was an easy decision. She’s a Wharton/Lauder alumna herself, so she brought real, firsthand insight into the program. Not just generic advice, but a genuine understanding of what the school is about and what it looks for.
What set Cat apart was how thought-provoking she was. She asked some genuinely great questions that pulled out stories and angles I never would have thought to use in my application. She helped me see how my own values aligned with those of Wharton/Lauder, and she had a real talent for surfacing things about myself that I didn’t realize were application-worthy.
As an international applicant, I especially appreciated how she helped me align my story to bring out my international strengths rather than letting them get lost. She understood how to position that background as an asset.
Cat was also excellent at managing timelines. She followed up whenever I had a delayed task, which kept everything on track and meant I was never scrambling before a deadline. We finished my application a full week early, which gave me time to do final checks at a relaxed pace.
Finally, Cat is genuinely encouraging. I came in with a few potential weaknesses, and rather than glossing over them, she worked closely with me to understand them and figure out how to address them. That combination of honesty and support made all the difference.
I’d recommend Cat without hesitation to anyone serious about their MBA applications.
I worked with Jessica on my applications to HBS and Stanford GSB, and I cannot imagine a better experience. She provided stellar guidance throughout the entire application process, both in terms of finalizing the list of schools I applied to and in how to approach each application. She made the daunting essays in each application feel much more approachable; she was crucial to helping me tell my story. Thanks to her help, I was admitted to HBS!
Working with Nisha was the best decision I made during my MBA application journey. Thanks to her guidance, I was accepted into five schools and am headed to my dream program, Tuck, with significant scholarship awards! Nisha’s absolute biggest strength is helping you dig deep to craft a unique, authentic story and clearly define your post-MBA goals. Her working style is incredibly encouraging, which kept me motivated throughout a stressful process. On top of that, she is highly responsive and has lightning-fast turnaround times. If you want a consultant who truly invests in your success and delivers results, look no further than Nisha.
I cannot say enough positive things about Jessica. From the moment we first met over Zoom, I knew that having her in my corner would put me in the strongest possible position. I decided to apply to schools on a relatively compressed timeline, and Jessica supported me through every stage of the process. Her guidance was invaluable.
Jessica has a unique combination of qualities that make her an elite MBA consultant. She has deep knowledge of the nuances of each school and knows how to position candidates effectively. When it came to positioning my story, she took the time to get to know me as a person before diving into my professional background. Not only did she help me articulate my story effectively, but she also helped me reach a deeper understanding of myself, my past decisions, and future ambitions, which I was not expecting at all.
Working with Jessica was simply easy. She responded to my emails with remarkable speed and clarity. She is a skilled communicator and knows when to be direct (and how to deliver direct feedback), when to nurture an anxious mind, and when to offer praise. She is honest, constructive, and always kind. She gave me the time and space to express my anxieties and uncertainties, while not letting me get bogged down by them. She is extremely smart and her emotional intelligence is exceptional. She is the definition of a professional, but also extremely likeable and fun to talk to. She was genuinely and personally invested in my success, which felt amazing. Working with Jessica was the best decision I made, and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone seeking guidance while navigating the MBA process.
I spoke with several MBA consultants before deciding to work with Susan, and the difference was obvious from our very first conversation.
While many consultants focused on my weaknesses or offered generic advice, Susan immediately saw the bigger picture. She took the time to understand not just my resume, but who I was as a person, what motivated me, and what made my story unique. More importantly, she gave me something I desperately needed during a difficult application journey: faith, honesty, and a clear strategy.
My MBA process spanned multiple application cycles and included plenty of highs and lows. Through all of it, Susan was a steady source of guidance. She knew when to push me and when to remind me not to lose confidence in myself. She never sugarcoated things, but she also never made me feel like my goals were out of reach. Every conversation left me feeling more focused, more prepared, and more capable.
Susan is far more than an admissions consultant. She is an exceptional storyteller, strategist, coach, and thought partner. She helped me connect the dots across my experiences in a way that felt authentic to who I am, while also helping me understand how admissions committees would view my candidacy. She consistently found strengths and opportunities in my story that I would have overlooked on my own.
Even after applications were submitted, Susan continued to be an invaluable advisor. She helped me navigate interviews, waitlists, scholarship negotiations, school selection, and some of the biggest career and life decisions I have faced. At every step, I felt like I had someone in my corner who genuinely cared about my success.
Today, I am heading to my dream program with a generous merit scholarship package, and I can say without hesitation that I would not be where I am without Susan’s guidance. Working with her was one of the best investments I have ever made. She is worth every penny.
If you are looking for someone who will not only help you get into business school but also help you become a stronger, more confident version of yourself throughout the process, I cannot recommend Susan highly enough.
Cat Ho was an exceptional, empathetic, and knowledgeable MBA admissions consultant who guided me through every step of the application process. From the start, Cat was enthusiastic to understand my personal and professional story. From the intro call up until the last essay, I felt at ease sharing about my upbringing and motivations as if I was catching up with a childhood friend. This comfort helped me express an authentic version of myself through my essays that I was proud to submit. My test scores and GPA would not be considered a standout profile by the numbers, however, she had faith in my story and patiently supported me through countless rounds of deliberations on which schools to apply to when I didn’t get the test scores I wanted.
Before working with Cat, I spoke with several MBA consultants who were skeptical of my post-MBA goal of moving to Asia. In contrast, Cat was both encouraging and realistic. She supported my aspirations while helping me develop clear contingency plans, allowing me to pursue ambitious goals with confidence and a practical path forward.
Cat always provided honest and constructive feedback on my essays. She pushed me to articulate my desire in my essays and interviews about why I needed an MBA, especially the granular details about why my goals and the experience offered at the school were a perfect fit. During our resume reviews, Cat was meticulous with the structure and each word in my resume. It was easily the best resume I’ve ever had.
Cat was punctual throughout the entire application process. She always provided her feedback in a timely manner and made it a priority scheduling the mock interviews.
With Cat’s expertise and guidance, I was accepted into the University of Michigan’s Ross MBA program with $60K in merit scholarships. I was so ecstatic to be accepted that the scholarship money came as a big surprise. I fully believe that Cat is the reason I had such a positive result with Ross. I am extremely grateful for Cat’s guidance, and I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking to achieve their dream of enrolling in an MBA program.
While working with Kate Richardson for my application, I was referred to Kim for a portion of my application process. I was so happy to be able to get my application in front of Kim. I beleive her final touches, along with her support to apply to my dream school despite a lower GMAT score was critical in my acceptances.
My favorite part of working with her was the mock interview we did. That dry run allowed me to have an amazing time in the actual interviews as they closley resembled the actual interviews I went through. I am so happy to share that I got into both of my M7 target schools.
With my highest hopes to join an M7 school the following year, I signed up with mbaMission to give me a sense of confidence when submitting my application. Kate, from the free consultation and throughout my application process gave me valuable insight that I am so grateful for. I beleive that her advice on positioning my application gave me the edge I needed to attend my dream school. Thank you Kate!
I worked with Harold throughout my MBA application process, and what stood out immediately was how invested he was in understanding my background, goals, and overall candidacy. I applied to a wide range of business schools, each with different requirements and approaches, and Harold was consistently available to provide thoughtful guidance.
I would not have been able to develop an effective professional narrative or clearly articulate my background and career goals without Harold’s guidance. He helped me make sense of my experiences, identify the themes that connected them, and present them in a way that was both authentic and compelling. His feedback was thoughtful and constructive, and his perspective was invaluable in helping me communicate my story effectively throughout the application process.
What I appreciated most was Harold’s responsiveness and steady support throughout the process. His turnaround times were excellent, he always understood the priorities associated with upcoming deadlines, and I genuinely felt like he was in my corner from start to finish. I was balancing the application process alongside a demanding, high-hour job, and despite the many moving pieces, I never felt rushed or constrained in our work together. He was flexible when needed and always made time to address questions or provide feedback. He was always supportive and confident in my potential.
Most importantly, his guidance produced results. I was admitted to more than seven programs, including my top two choices. I am extremely grateful for Harold’s support and would highly recommend him to anyone navigating the MBA admissions process.
